| Estimates Committee visits Mumbai | | Stresses for gainful utilization of State assets | |
Jammu, Dec 1 Estimates Committee of J&K Legislative Assembly headed by its Chairman Shri Ghulam Hassan Khan visited Mumbai and took stock of the assets and properties of J&K State located at Malabar Hills, Advin building, Slateer road at Haveli and impressed upon the Resident Commissioner to make judicious use of these properties. On learning that approximately 8 kanals of land have been leased out to some private individuals in 1980’s against paltry rentals causing enormous loss to the State exchequer, the committee called for taking measures for profitable use of the same. The Committee further observed that six bedrooms that have come up at Malabar hills have not been put in use till date for which it desired for sorting out the matter on priority basis and ensuring immediate utilization of these assets to generate revenue for the State. The Chairman was accompanied by various members including Mr. Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Mr. Mubarak Gul, Mr. Rachpal Singh, Mr. Yogesh Shawney, Mr. Brij Mohan Sharma, Mr. Sayeed Basharat Bukhari, Mr. Balwant Singh, Dr. Manohar Lal and Mr. G.A.Mir, Additional Secretary, Legislative Assembly. |
