| 8 Kg IED recovered in Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

Police thwarted a terrorists plot to carry out terror strikes by effecting recovery of Improvised Explosive Device ( IED ) besides arms and ammunition from the natural hideout of terrorists during a search operation in the general area of Khanter of district Poonch today.
Reports revealed that on a tip off Police (Commando Group of Component Police) launched a search operation in the general area of Khanter under the jurisdiction of Police Station and finally troops achieved success in locating the natural hideout of terrorists in the wee hours of today. The natural hideout of terrorists noticed by the troops was smashed and recoveries made from it include ; 3 Kilogram IED packed with Tiffin prepared, 5 kilogram IED packed with stabilizer , One Chinese Hand Grenade with fuse , One Pika rod with spring , 2 walkman use for timer , 10 Pencil cells , 2 UMG Patta ,54 rounds of AK 46, one Lead wire packet , one Winchester and one bag The above mentioned recovery has given a serious setback to terrorist’s nefarious designs. A search operation was also conducted in the area but no arrests have been made so far.
