Tour for Panchs and Sarpanchs very soon: Army | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Anantnag, August 17: while expressing satisfaction over the ongoing programs of Operation Sadbavan, GOC Victor Force Maj. Genral Gurdeep Singh on Wednesday, said that the army is going to organize a tour for elected Panchs and Sarpanchs of the valley so that they can visit those parts of the country were these institutions are already running, that will help them in gaining knowledge about Panchayat institutions. “Main aim behind organizing these tour is to provide an opportunity to the students of the valley to replace their places and decide their future.” GOC said on the sidelines of the function organized by 9RR under the aegis of 2sector RR at Devsar, adding that one main objective is to educate the children about the vast cultural diversity, mutual co existence and rapid progress made by the nation. GOC, Maj. Gen. Gurdeep Singh, was addressing a large gathering of students and their parents who on Wednesday returned back from 10 days educational cum motivational tour, in which a group of 35 schoolchildren was selected from the various areas of South Kashmir who visited Jammu, Bengaluru, Mysore and Chennai, including Officers Training Academy, Chennai, IIM, Bengaluru and Info Training Academy located at Mysore. Tour was flagged in by GOC Victor Force, Maj. General Gurdeep Singh accompanied by Commander, 2 Sector Rashtriya Rifles, Sanjay Gupta.
