| Throat silt body of woman recovered | | | Jammu, Aug 17: Police today recovered body of a widow, whose throat was slit, from Janipur, informed sources said,
They said that the body of Pushpa Devi widow of Daya Krishan of Janipur was found by the people near her residence and they informed police.
"Police reached the spot and found throat of the woman was slit. It could not be ascertained whether she was murdered or she committed suicide," the sources said, adding the body was shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital's mortuary room for legal formalities.
Girl abducted
at Majalta
Jammu, Aug 17: A 16-year-old girl has allegedly been abducted by a youth of her village at Majalta near here.
Police said Shamo (16), daughter of Hans Raj of Chore, Majalta, was allegedly abducted by Shoori Lal, son of Kunju, of her village.
Though police had registered a case in this connection, the accused and the girl were yet to be traced. |
