CAPD challans 15 defaulters, recovers Rs 7100 fine

JAMMU, Aug 18: A team of officers and officials of CAPD Department headed by Deputy Director, CAPD, Jammu conducted market checking in Subash Nagar, Amphalla, New Plot and Janipur areas especially meat, chicken, paneer and fruit shops.
During the checking, 15 defaulters including those who have not displayed the rate lists and were charging higher rates and dhaba wallas who were using domestic cylinders for commercial purpose were fiend on the spot and recovered an amount of Rs7100 while 7 compound challans were also issued.
The department warned the defaulters to display the rate lists properly and desist from charging higher rates from the consumers.
