8/18/2011 9:21:06 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 18: Violating ceasefire, the Pak troops opened heavy volume of fire on the forward Digwar post close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch last night.
Police sources said the firing started at about 12.35 am and came to an end at about 12.55 am.
Fire was retaliated. While there was no casualty on the Indian side, casuality, if any, on the enemy side was not immediately known, the sources added.
Sources said the Pak action was totally unprovoked and led to the violation of ceasefire. Security was further stepped up on the LoC after the firing to foil any infiltration bid by militants from across the border, the sources added.
