| Trucker damages PDD transformer at Gandoh, steals copper coil | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 18: A trucker today damaged a 63 KVA PDD transformer at Malsar on Gandoh road in Doda and stole its copper coil and other costlier components.
Police said Basharat Hussain, son of Bashir Ahmad of Kalotran, Gandoh, hit his truck (JK14B/1006) against the roadside 63 KVA transformer at Malsar and damaged it.
After the transformer was damaged, Hussain and his conductor allegedly stole its copper coil and other costlier components. They later fled the spot.
With his this act, the area was without electricity now, police added.
A case under section 379 of RPC was registered against them at Gandoh police station. They were yet to be arrested by police. There was strong resentment in the area against the driver.
