40000 devotees participated in annual Chari Yatra of Machail Matta at Kishtwar. | Machail Yatra Chari reaches Kishtwar | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kishtwar Aug 18:- More than 40000 devotees participated in annual Chari Yatra of Matta Chandi at Kishtwar, which arrived from Bhaderwah today evening itself under tight security cover. The yatra after stoppage at many point, as heavy rush of pilgrims engulfed the atmosphere of 90 kilometer Bhaderwah-Kishtwar road with the slogans and Bajans sung by the devotees praising the blessing of Matta Chandi. The yatra which started from Chinote Bhaderwah arrived at Kishtwar at around 6.30PM on Thursday evening and was welcomed by the people of Kishtwar right from Shalimar up to Girls higher secondary school Kishtwar, where the Chari was kept for the Darshan. As many as 40000 people from different parts of the state reach Kishtwar for onwards journey to Machail for seeking the blessings of Matta Chandi. Various school building, parks and temples were thrown open for the devotees for night stay; beside this the locals also adjusted the visiting pilgrims in their own house as a good will gesture. Free langer was also arranged for the pilgrims at many place and the main langer arrangement were held at Girl Higher secondary School Kishtwar and as many as 2o000 yatries had his dinner at this langer alone.The yatra will left for Gulabgard Padder on Friday morning. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hussain Malik, ADC Kishtwar G N Balwan, DIG Doda-Kishtwar Range Manish Kishore Senha, SP Kishtwar B S Tutti, ACR Kishtwar R.K Shavan are personally supervising the arrangements for Yatries , ASP Kishtwar Thakur Kulbir Singh, SDPO Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary, SDP Atholi Sanjay Raina, SHO Kishtwar Mohammad Arif and other officials of District Administration Kishtwar remain present during Chari Yatra. Meanwhile the heavy rush of pilgrims has also been witnessed at Machail temple and as many as 30000 pilgrims had so far paid obscene at the shrine of Matta Chandi at Machail in last 10-12 days since the yatra has been official declared open for the pilgrims, thus taking over all count of Yatries to 38000 since 1st of August 2010.
