| Rousing reception accorded to newly appointed JKYPC general secretary | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 18: Newly appointed General Secretary PYC Pranav Shagotra was accorded rousing reception at the PYC HQ. Shaheedi Chowk here today by the senior leaders of the party and large number of youth Congress workers.

He (Shagotra) was taken into a rally by the youth Congress workers which started from Gandhi Chowk-Satwari and passed through Vikram Chowk, Jewel Chowk, Ranbir Market, Hari Market, R. N. Bazar, Residency Road and culminate at party headquarter Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu.
Shagotra was profusely garlanded by the party leaders and activists of youth congress, NSUI, INTUC and Mahila wing on their arrival at Shaheedi Chowk amidst raising of slogans in favour of Youth Congress zindabad, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Raja
Amrinder Singh Zindabad.
Pranav Shagotra in his address described youth Congress and other frontal organizations as the backbone of the Congress party and asked the youth to work unitedly and in co-ordination with the parent party to carry forward the policies and programmes of Congress party under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
He said that Congress is the symbol of all religions, castes and the unity and integrity of the three regions of the state.
The Congress party does not believe in exploiting the sentiments of people on regional, religious or caste lines like some other political parties who indulge on this for the sake of power.
He also thanked gathering for his rousing reception. He expressed gratitude to J&K PYC President Shoiab Nabi Lone-Ex-MLA and the leaders who have encouraged him today by their presence and reception at the PCC HQ. Jammu.
