| Abhishek wins 60 kg gold in U-20 | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, August 18: Abhishek Choudhary clinched gold in 60 kg weight category of under-20 age group in the two-day Jammu District Judo Championship which concluded at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
Second place in this highest age group went to Happy while Ravneet remained third. In plus 73 weight category of same age group, Kranti Sharma beat Satyajeet Singh in the final bout.
In open weight category of under-20, first place was bagged by Kanwaljeet Singh while Ankit was second. Shubankar Baru and Amanpal shared third place.
First place in 50 kg weight category of under-17 year group went to Sahil Sharma who beat Karan Kaw in the final. Manzoor Ahmed and Amit Sharma were joint third.
In the finals of senior groups and prize distribution function, president J&K Judo Association, MA Bhukhari was chief guest, who distributed medals among the winners. General secretary of the association, Ashutosh Sharma and Kuldeep Singh as also Sports Officer, Rajan Sharma were guests of honour.
