| VREA charges J&K SRTC of harassing the VRS employees | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, August 18: All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees Association (VREA) held a press conference under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali-president and Surinder Singh, General secretary .
They said that 35 employees have taken the VRS on 31.03.2011 vide order NO. JKSRTC/ GMAlRHQ/ J/ 2071 dated 17.06.2011 and five months have passed and not even a single penny has been paid to them.
They strongly criticized the J&K SRTC management and said that it is unnecessarily harassing the VRS employees as according to the Government order within 60 days the dues of the VRS employees should be cleared.
VRS union demanded that their dues should be cleared and also warned the J&K SRTC management to clear their dues within week’s time.
They even demanded that the last 5 months salaries should be e given to these 35 VRS employees and their pending CP Fund should be deposited and even demanded 12 percent compound interest .
They even said that they are unable to understand the behavior of the government as the Finance Department of J&K Government has released the funds for these 35 VRS employees but the J&K SRTC management is bent upon to harass the VRS employees for their vested interests which is not tolerable.
They alleged that the J&K SRTC management has wrongly presented their case and have requested the Minister for Transport and Finance Minister to review their file and case.
