| NHPC registers 37.31% increase | | |

National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited (NHPC) reistered 37.31% increase with a net profit of 528.32 crores of rupees for the half year as declared by Board of Directors in a meeting held here.
The sales of the corporation have gone up from 1252 crores to 1380 crores of rupees. The corporation has declared that net profit was against the corresponding period is 384.75 crores of rupees. There by registering an increase of 37.31% over the corresponding period.
NHPC Board of Directors has also approved an interim dividend of seventy-two crore for the year 2006-07.
