Dead baby turns alive at SMGS | | | JAMMU, Aug 19 : In yet another case of casual approach of hospital administration, one newly born baby boy who was declared dead by the staff of Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SHMS) Hospital turned alive when his body was being taken to funeral. According to the one of relative Gulzar the lady namely Jaha Begum wife of Bashir Ahmed resident of teshil Gool of district Ramban was shifted to the operation theatre at about 9:30 this morning. He further said that later a doctor on duty called them and told that there is some complicacy and we are unable to save the life to the infant. Gulzar added that at about 10:30 the doctor took the dead body of infant wrapped in the towel and handed over to him. He maintained that after waiting around two and half hour for other relatives they moved for funeral process. "When we open the towel we feel that the baby was breathing. All were happy to see the baby alive. Then we again brought back to SMGS hospital and admitted the baby in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The family and relatives demanded action against the doctor who pronounced the baby as dead. |
