CITU mourns demise of trade unionist Pandhe | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 20: J&K State Secretariat of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the sudden demise of comrade M K Pandhe. Pandhe breathed his last early morning today at Government Hospital in New Delhi due to a massive heart attack. He was born on 11th July 1925. Comrade Pandhe started his trade union activities from the year 1946 and played an important role in the first formal apex trade union centre in the country. He then became the one of the founders of CITU and held the offices of General Secretary and President of CITU and at the present he was the Vice President. By virtue of his towering contribution and role he became a legend in the Indian trade union movement. Comrade Pandhe was a Polit Bureau member of the Communist Party of India (MARXIST). J&K CITU State Secretariat pays its respectful homage to his memory and also conveys its heartfelt condolences to his family.
