EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 20:

Expressing its concern over woes of the flood affected people of Jammu province, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has flayed the coalition regime headed by National Conference (NC) for not providing relief to the people who have been badly affected due to the recent floods.
Addressing a meeting of the district committee Jammu urban organized by R K Bali, PDP leaders regretted that except conduct visit to the affected areas just to get cheat publicity, coalition regime has so far done nothing for the affected families. Party observed that misery of the flood affected people have been increasing with every passing day but the government was only concerned about conducting photo sessions and issuing press statements to befool the people.
PDP made it clear that party would not remain a mute spectator to such approach of the state government and would come on streets to force the government to take some step to provide relief to the affected families.
PDP leaders further said that National Conference led regime has lost credibility of the people due to mis-governance and rampant corruption in the state. They said that since its formation this regime has been indulged into corrupt practices. They said that present regime was not aware of the ground situation.
They regretted that common masses in the state have been struggling with number of problems but the members of the ruling coalition have been using state resources for their personal comforts.
Calling upon the party workers to educate the people about the misdeeds of this regime, they said that Government was neck deep in corruption from top to bottom and leaders of the ruling party have been brazenly indulged in accumulating huge wealth by misusing their position.
Trilok Singh Bajwa, Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Shanti Devi, Daman Bhasin, Falail Singh, Jagjit Singh Jagga, Hussain Ali Bafa, Rajinder Singh Manhas, Mohinder Singh Kotwal and others addressed the meeting.
