| 3rd Batch of M Ed Programme started at MIER College | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 20: The PG Department of MIER College of Education organised an inaugural function for the 3rd Batch of M Ed students. Dr Arun K. Gupta, Chairman MIER Group of Institutions was the Chief Guest on this occasion Dr. Renu Gupta Principal of the college was the guest of honour.
The programme started with Vandana presented by freshers. The function was conducted by Dr. Shivali Sharma. This was followed by informal introduction by the students of new batch and faculty members of P.G. Department Dr. B. L. Raina HoD. PG Dept, Dr. Adit Gupta Associate, Dr Shivali Sharma Lecturer, Dr Surinder Kour Controller of examination, Dr. Annie Koul HoD B.Ed.,
Rajinder Parveen HoD B Ed Special and Mool Raj Sharma Head Centre for Educational Technology also graced the function.
Prof B L Raina in his welcome address conveyed his best wishes to the Students as they were embarking on a new journey which would transform them into specialists. In order to make their task successful they should need to be regular and focused. He exhorted the new students to develop speed, urge for knowledge and flair for hard work to achieve success in life.
Dr Renu Gupta, while sharing her experiences with the students, highlighted that positive learning environment is the hallmark of MIER group and they must take full advantage of it during their stay. She welcomed the students in the fold of MIER family.
Dr Arun K Gupta chairman in his address said higher education is a cooperative endeavour where students and teachers have to contribute together.
