Several schools celebrate Janamashtmi with religious fervour

JAMMU, Aug 20: Janamashtmi was celebrated with religious fervour, gaiety and enthusiasm in several schools of the city and other areas in Jammu region.
A function to mark the day was organised in the premises of JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School, Tirth Nagar,Talab Tillo Jammu in collaboration with Brainworks.
Attired in the costumes like lord Krishan and his devotee Radha, the small kids of Brainwork’s displayed their talents on the stage through a heart throbbing program.
The function started with the prayer to lord Krishan followed by the colourful program including the dance and skit by the students of primary classes. The cultural program was also presented by the students of higher classes.
The main objectives of holding this function by JKMS was to inculcate the religious values among the people and also to highlights the teachings of lord Krishan who was embodiment of love and brotherhood.
Geeta Dixit, vice principal of the school appreciated the active participation of students and the efforts of the teachers which resulted in a successful celebration of the occasion.
While addressing the students, principal of the school ML Vaid appreciated the performance of students as well as of the staff. He also stressed on the maintenance of religious and cultural heritage.
On the occasion Prasad was also distributed among the children. The function culminated with the lecture by MZ Rajni Gupta the director Academic of the Institution.
Dogra Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar, Jammu celebrated the Lord Krishana Janamasthmi with religious fervor and gaiety. An impressive function was held in the school premises.
The children of nursery, KG and 1st classes presented themselves in colorful dresses depicting the various poses of lord Krishna.
A small Jhanki of Lord Krishna was presented by the students and worshiped and cultural items including dance depicting Radha's eternal and devotional love towards Lord Krishana Presented by Shivani Lakhnotra was praised by the audience present there.

Koul threw light on the life of Lord Krishana and congratulated the students and audience presented.
The sweets and fruits were distributed among the students and staff.
Festival of Janamshtmi was celebrated in KC Kids, Udhampur with full
fervor and gaiety. Kids of the school were very well dressed in Radha's and Krishna's dresses. They gave swing to Lord Krishna's Jhoola, which was decorated with flowers to remember the childhood of Lord Krishna. After performing Pooja of Lord Krishna along with religious hymns, kids presented dance on Radha-Krishna song. A cartoon movie on the iife of Lord Krishna was also showed to kids. The moral values of life extracted from Lord Krishna's teachings were also taught to them so that they may inculcate those practically in their lives. The celebration was a part of co-curricular activities of the school. Being a play way school, secular values were tried to inculcate in them right from the very beginning in an enjoyable, creative and practical way. To conclude the celebrations, kids were given sweets as Prasad. The event was held under the care and guidance of Neha Khullar, Incharge, K.C.Kids and the other staff members.
KC Gurukul Public School Paloura & KC Playway Schooll-BC Road Celebrated "JanamAshtami" with a great fervor in the school Campus.
The Celebrations were a great fanfare where in the students enjoyed all activities and had a great Fun. The Programme began with the
Chanting of devotional Songs Followed by "Krishna Pooja Dance & Raas Lila" played by the Tiny Tots.
A visit to Shri Radha Krishna Temple was a special fete on the Occasion.
Chairman of the School Arvind Mahajan and Vijay Puri Academic Director Of the School Blessed the Students on the occasion. Chairman said that the Teachings of Lord Krishna are not only APT but also practical for the Successful Life in the present era. He further appreciated the team work of the Principal Dr. Raj Dogra and I/c of KC Playway Uma Sharma & staff on the occasion.
Navyug Hr. Sec. School celebrated Janamashtmi with great Zeal and enthusiasm in the school premises. Various culture programmes including fancy dress competition, dances, short skits highlighting the Lord Krishna's life were organised to mark the celebration of Janamashtami.
The small kids in Radha Krishna costume performed "Ras Leela" and received huge applause from the audiences.
A kite flying competition was also held among students of 8th, 9th and 10th class.
