| Gang of chain snatchers busted | | | JAMMU: Police today claimed to have busted a gang of chain snatchers by arresting a kingpin from Sarwal area here.
Police sources identified him as Vivek Sharma of Tikri, Udhampur. He was picked up by police from a Sarwal area on a tip-off, the sources added.
Sources said Vivek was also allegedly involved in the incident of snatching of Rs 1 lakh from a man outside J&K Bank's Rehari branch few months back.
On his disclosure, police had also picked up other members of the gang from different city areas. |
