Dharmarth Trust takes out impressive Shree Krishan Rath Yatra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 20: Unprecedented traditional enthusiasm and gaiety was witnessed in all participants of Shree Krishan Ji Rath Yatra takenout from traditional route of old Jammu city here today. Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust had made elaborate arrangements for the Rath Yatra in connection with celebrations of Shree Krishan Janamashtami in Jammu. Several leading Social and religious Organizations had prepared their impressive Tableaux on theme of the life and teaching of Lord Shree Krishana for compeition. President, Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust J&K Thakur Divakar Singh , Secretary, Shashi Khajuria along with leaders of prominent Social and Religious Organizations comprising Jagdish Dogra, Jagdish Sharma , President and General Secretary, Sanatam Dharam Sabha Jammu, Sanjay Anand President, Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, Dharnidhar , Maha - Sangrakshak Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, Dimpy Kohli, President, Hindustan Shiv Sena, Surinder Mahajan President Raghunath Bazar Association and others pulled holy strings of Shree Krishan Rath. The Yatra started from Shree Raghunath Ji Mandir after performing of Pooja and other related religious rituals at 5 P.M. A large number of prominent citizens, political leaders, Police and Civil Administration Officers of Jammu District and leading businessmen also accompanyiftjpC the Rath. Thousands of the devotees fallowed the sacred Rath and pulled strings chanting Mantras and Bhajans. People standing both sides of roads greeted Rath Yatra with showering of flowers and performing Pooja. Yatra route passing through Raghunath Bazar , City Chowk , Purani Mandi , Link Road , Jain Bazar , Dhounthali Bazar , Mubarak Mandi , Chowk - Chabutra , Pacca Danga, Moti Bazar , Rajtilak Road, City Chowk , Kanak Mandi, Rajinder Bazar , Residency Road, and at last culminated at Shree Raghunath Ji Mandir The Roads were tastefully decorated by heads of various Bazar Associations with constructing of multi-colour arches and buntings. Leaders of some non Hindu Organizations including Muslim Federation Jammu greeted participants of Rath Yatra by garlanding them and offering eatables. Some non-governmental Organizations have also opened stalls of eatables for devotees for their refreshment en-route.
