PDP MLAs to study of Panchyati Raj Act in Karnataka, HP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Aug 21 (KNS): A delegation of opposition Peoples Democratic Party left for Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh on Sunday where they will study the implementation of Panchyati Raj Act in these two states, sources told KNS. They said they delegation led by MLA Nizam-ud-Din Bhat consists of MLA Basharat Bukhari and Ch Zulfikar Ali will submit a detailed report to the party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed after they come back. On Sunday they reached Bangalore and later they will go to Shimla also. A senior PDP leader told KNS that Mufti will take up the report in the coming Assembly session. Himachal and Karnatka have best Panchyati Raj system in India and PDP wants that panches and sarpanches in J&K should be empowered like those two states, he added. |
