KV hails decision of Cabinet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 21: Kashmira Vahini (KV), women wing of Panun Kashmir has hailed the decision of the State Cabinet for de- reservation of nearly 800 posts created for Kashmiri Pandit migrants under Prime Ministers Employment Package. In a statement, Vahani has said that they had repeatedly raised the issue with the government in the past so that Pandit community youth could get full benefit of the package announced for them. “We hope that the process of recruitment for these de-reserved posts will commence as early as possible and so that more youth from the community can get benefit of the posts”, statement has said.
Organisation has said that hundreds of Pandit youth are unemployed and are waiting for the full implementation of the job package announced by the Prime Minister. Vahini has also demanded introduction of the Hindu Temples and Shrines (protection and preservation) bill in the next session of the state assembly so that a mechanism is created for the upkeep of the ancient temples and shrines belonging to the community in Kashmir valley. “Temple lands and properties have been encroached by close knit mafia in valley who are selling the land on fake attorneys. This can only stop when a strong law is made to keep tab on such activities”, Vahani has said.
