| Shiva Nagar residents rue poor drainage system, hold protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Aug 21: The residents of Ward No 16 Shiva Nagar, Kathua held a protest
demonstration against the district administration and MLA of Kathua
for not constructing lanes and drains. The irate residents alleged
that the district administration has totally failed to provide better
lanes and drains to the people of the area.
They said that due to improper drainage system water gets logged
during rains which create problems for pedestrians to walk smoothly
adding that it also give nightmarish experience for vehicle operators.
They said that due to the negligence of the administration the people
are suffering but the authorities are not paying good attention
towards the welfare of people and their assurances have proved as
hollow promises so far.
