Referendum should be held on Lokpal Bill : Babu Singh
8/23/2011 11:39:37 AM

EARLY TIMES

Kathua Aug 22: The referendum should be held on Lokpal Bill drafted by the civil society and the union Govt. must accept it at any cost for the sake of public interest, urged the ex-power minister and founder of Nature Mankind Friendly Global Movement Babu Singh in a press conference held at his office today.

He demanded that judges and PM should be included in the Lokpal Bill and even no politician (Who are not in power too) be left behind from the Lok pal Bill because they are the basic and fundamental responsible wheels to drive the society so they must be checked in each and every corner.

He said that Anna’s crusade against the corruption is purely peaceful and democratic and can pose the start of revolution in India which is the need of the hour.

In this context the Nature Mankind Friendly Global Movement is squarely dedicated. He said we live in a time when corruption in India has reached such incredible levels and it is universally accepted that there is a serious issue of corruption from the highest levels of government to the most mundane levels of everyday life.

The "aam aadmi" is faced with corruption on a day-to-day basis and is simply resigned to the idea of paying bribes.

Want to meet the officer, pay the peon a bribe. Want to get your pension approved, pay a bribe. Want a driver's license, pay a bribe. Want your voter card, pay a bribe. And all the politicians’ bureaucrats and top industrialists are plundering the India and making their own rules and the citizens remaining mere spectators with nothing.

He said that the corruption is basically strategic weakness of the system which can be corrected with the change of existing rotten and bogus democratic system.

But the Lokpal is our best hope and remedy to deal with the corruption up to some extent. It has no means to end-all of corruption but at least, it is a step in the right direction and a signal of revolution.

He said that a person cannot be allowed to escape only because he or she is a PM, MP or a part of the judiciary system as first of all he/she is a citizen of India.

When cores of people are living under poverty lines and struggling hard to earn their meals, no corrupt citizen should be charged with less than murder of those poor children who die due to malnutrition and unavailability of healthcare which is just because such corrupt people are looting the country’s wealth strategically.

The Nature Mankind Friendly Global Movement demanded that all the politicians bureaucrats and other of Jammu and Kashmir should be asked to show their sources of incomes and property details to the people and come forward to support Lok Pal bill, right to call bill, right to reject option in the election system, right to work, etc. in order to settle a pure democratic system.

In the press conference senior activists of Kisaan Movement Ashwani Sharma, Surinder Sharma (Shindu), Daya Ram and president of women wing Neelam Jasrotia, were present.
