AJKMPJ support Anna‘s crusade against corruption
8/23/2011 11:39:57 AM

EARLY TIMES

Jammu, Aug 22: All J&K Movement for Peace and Justice, a conglomerate of many other organizations, which was formed with the sole purpose of fighting against corruption, injustice and inequalities, in collaboration with the public of Laxmipuram & the students of Surya Maha Shakti Vidhya Mander organized a peaceful protest rally from Laxmipuram-B-2 to police post Chinore chowk on Sunday in support of Anna Hazare for implementation of strong Lokpal bill.

The members of All J&K Movement for Peace & Justice said that the dramatic way in which Anna Hazare was arrested & then released shows not only the confused state of mind of the government but also their evil intention of suppressing every voice that is raised against their faulty ways of governance and rampant corruption at all levels.

The arrest, according to the home minister, was made as there was apprehension of breach of peace. They willfully ignored the assurances of Anna that the protest would be peaceful & non-violent.

When after his arrest millions of people took to streets to register their peaceful support to Anna & their resentment against the government, why was peace not breached? This shows what Anna had said, he meant it.

The government had presumed that they would be able to suppress the movement this way but was obliged to bow before tremendous public pressure.

They also said that the action of police on Ramdev & his supporters in Ram Leela Ground which, according to the police, was a political decision, is also highly deplorable. The concerned police commissioner has said that the peaceful Satyagrah had posed no threat to the law and order situation.

The political people responsible for this, wrong action must be themselves having billions of rupees of black money in foreign banks.

The letter which Kapil Sibal was displaying speak more of his cunningness than of Baba Ram Dev’s deviation from his firm stand which becomes clear otherwise also when we see the subsequent stand of the Babaji.

The government could directly, after a short session of the parliament, declare black money as national wealth. There was no need of setting up a committee. In the past, we have seen that such committees were simple dodging tactics. So the public is appealed to give full support to Anna Hazare & Baba Ram Dev Ji so that their crusade against corruption is taken to a logical end.

In our state too, corruption is flourishing and a good intentioned Chief Minister seems to be helpless in containing it. The land mafia scam of politicians, police and land grabbers, like so many other scams in the country, which was widely highlighted got hushed up easily.

“We appeal the well intentioned Chief Minister to introduce a strong Lokayukta in the state before the people of the state also rise in rebellion. This he can get done very easily because of the special status that this state enjoys,” said Rao.

Let people think on the lines of Baba Ram Dev and Anna Hazare and let there be mini- Ram Dev’s and Anna Hazare’s in every city, town and village. Only this awareness and change of thinking at the grass root level can bring about a desired change otherwise justice will never prevail, especially in our corrupt state.

The members of the organization present on the occasion were S. Deep Singh, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, G.S.Charak, S.N.Saproo, Udhay Chand, A.R. Sheikh, Jamil Kazami, Amrita Ji, R.L. Raina, Bishan Ji, Subash Chander Bhagat, Kanwarjeet Singh Thakur, Behari Lal Bhagat, Madan Gopal , M.K.Bhan,. Kalyan Singh Chib, among others.
