| Body found in field in Rajouri | | |
JAMMu, Aug 23: The body of a youth was today recovered by police from a
field at Behni Gala in Sunderbani area of Rajouri.
Police said the body of Romesh Chander (40), son of Chuni Lal of Behni Gala,
was found lying in a field in the village.
It was removed to the mortuary of sub-district hospital, Sunderbani, where
post-mortem was conducted on it. It was later handed over to the family
members for last rites.
Police had registered a case in this connection.

Forester's body recovered from Chenab
JAMMU, Aug 23:
The body of a forester, who had over a month back drowned in Chenab at
Drabshalla in Kishtwar, was Monday recovered by police from the river waters at
Dalpath in Akhnoor.
Forester Mohammad Ashraf (47), son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat of Shaheedi
Mohalla, Kishtwar, was washed away by the strong currents after his car had
fallen into the river waters at Drabshalla.
The body, which was badly decomposed, was found floating in river waters at
Dalpath yesterday. It was kept in the hospital mortuary.
Police said the body was identified today by his brother-in-law Khursheed Ahmad,
retired deputy commissioner.
After completing legal formalities, police handed over the body to the family
members for last rites.
