Voices against corruption reach a crescendo?

JAMMU, Aug 23:

People continued to voice their support to Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption in various parts of Jammu region with students holding the centre stage.
The National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) today continued its struggle against corruption, which is spearheading the series of protests right from day Anna was arrested.
Students under the banner of NPSU staged protest demonstrations at Bikram Chowk and Kot Bhalwal outside Model Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET).
The students of Government Polytechnic boycotted their classes and held massive protest demonstration at Bikram Chowk. They raised slogans against the Congress led central government alleging that it has failed to tackle the menace of corruption effectively.
They also collected money by begging from the people at Bikram Chowk. The passengers, rehri walas, police personals also donated money to these students even beggars on the occasion donated money to these students who were collecting money for the corrupt leaders of the Congress. The NPSU leaders told that the money collected today will be handed over to the Congress MP from Jammu Madan Lal Sharma so that the hunger of the Congress led government could be little bit satisfied.
The students of MIET college also held massive protest demonstration under the banner of NPSU at Kot Bhalwal out side their college in support of Anna Hazare. The protest was led by Aditya Hans, Javed Iqbal and Bikram Sharma.
Partap Singh Jamwal asked the government to drop the idea of a “Sarkari Lokpal”, which he said is envisaged in the bill introduced in the Lok Sabha earlier this month. He said that the government must talk to Anna’s team, political parties and others for a “strong, independent lokpal with a view to bring a maximum number of persons under its purview.”
He also appealed to the Anna team to take J&K also in consideration so that any law made in the parliament should be extended to the state of J&K as there is no law applicable in J&K directly even after it is passed in parliament.
Kathua people staged a dharna in favour of Anna’s crusade against corruption under the banner of Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Movement at Mukherji Chowk, Kathua.
The protest dharna joined by hundreds of people led by the Ex-Power Minister Babu Singh and demanded a constructive and effective Lokpal bill to deal the corrupt practices in the Governemnt as well as private sector of the country. While addressing the gathering, Babu Singh stressed on the inclusion of all the politicians right from the ground level to Prime minister, all the employees from lower level to top bureaucrats and even the Judges also in order to bring an effective relief to people of the country. He said that the corruption is a strategic weakness of the system which is the offshoots of the Global corporate capitalism system which can be rooted out by replacing this outdated and rotten social model.
A rally against corruption was taken out in Doda under the banner of All India Students Federation (AISF).
Students took out the rally from Govt. Degree College Doda. The students extended their full support to Anna Hazare against corruption.
Students and AISF has appealed the whole community to come out of their respective schools and colleges and support Anna Hazare so that a strong Lok Pal bill could be passed and the people of India get rid of corruption.
On the occasion district president AISF Doda Mukesh Parihar while interacting and campaigning asked the youth to support Anna Hazare and fight against corruption in Jammu Kashmir and especially in Doda as Doda is highly corrupt district of the state.
He said that in the coming days the campaign would change into rally and a massive agitation would be started against corruption in Doda.
While Speaking AISF vice president Fozia Banoo said that this time the girls of Doda would also come out of their houses and will oppose corruption on ground.
