| Woman jumps into Chenab, saved | | |

JAMMU, Aug 24: A woman, who jumped into Chenab river at Ramban Tuesday, was saved by police personnel.
Police said Kanta Devi jumped into Chenab from Jhullah bridge at Ramban in a bid to end her life.
She was, however, spotted timely in the river waters by police personnel who saved her with the help of locals. She was later handed over to her husband Punjab Singh. The couple hails from Banooj, Banihal.
