| WWAO adopts village Rehal in Bishnah | | |

Jammu, Aug 24: World Women Awakening Organisation , an organization for the upliftment and awakening of women and enlightening them about their rights and duties adopted a village named Rehal in Tehsil Bishnah.
The organization aims to enlighten and strengthen women and make them self reliant both socially and economically.
A meeting was organized at the village where more than hundred women attended the meeting.
The meeting started with bhajan kirtan which was followed by distribution of sweets among the ladies.
The general secretary of the organization Sneh Bali declared the adoption of the village which was hailed enthusiastically by the villagers.
A big hall was made available for the activities of the village women to form self employment groups to enable the women to be economically independent.
Sarla Kohli the president of the Local Affairs apprised the gathering about the various activities that are being organized as well as the activities that would be added later by the WWAO.
Veena Handa , the president of the external affairs encouraged the women to come forward and work for their own betterment. She enlightened the women on how to be self reliant. She highlighted how this would boost their self esteem and in bargain they could contribute much more to the society.
The sarpanch of the village and many male members who were present there appreciated the steps taken by WWAO and promised their full support.
