| SP demands proper compensation to farmers | | |

The vice-president and treasure of Samajwadi Party (SP) Khurshid Ahmed Dev and Sheikh Mohd Shafi in a joint statement issued here, have said that in Bhaderwah tehsil, in the aim of developmental activities, under R&B, tourism & university sectors, thousands of kanals of fertile irrigated land, has been forcibly acquired by the authorities rendering scores of farmers landless and they said no compensation has been paid to the farmers.
As per party release leaders have demanded that proper compensation as per market rates may be paid to the affected farmers before such forcible acquisition so that their grievances are redressed as two crops of farmer have been damaged.
