SRINAGAR, Aug 24:
Committee on Petitions (PC) of Legislative Assembly was held under the Chairmanship of MLA Abdul Majid Wani here today.
The Committee discussed in detail various petitions including petition about shortage of doctors and inadequate medical facilities in Pahalgam constituency, incompletion of Bijbehara-Langanbal road, withholding of wages of seasonal/casual labours and Daily Wagers of Municipal Committee Pahalgam and Non-completion of two town Hall buildings at Aishmuqam and Seer Hamdan due to lack of funds.
The Committee with its members Yash Paul Kundal, Rafi Ahmad Mir, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Mir Zahoor Ahmad, Abdul Haq Khan, Peer Afaq Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad Shah after threadbare discussion on these petitions were not satisfied with the reply of Health and Medical Education department about shortage of doctors and decided to call Commissioner/Secretary, Health and Medical Education, Director Health Services, Kashmir and Chief Medical Officer, Anantang before the Committee in the first instance.
Among others, Secretary Assembly M Ramzan, Deputy Secretary Assembly B A Wani and other concerned officers of Assembly Secretariat attended the meeting.
