| GOC Rising Star Corps meets Mahar officers | | |

JAMMU, Aug 24:
Lieutenant General A K Choudhary, Corps Commander of Rising Star met Mahar Regiment Officers at Jammu Today. A special Regimental lunch was hosted by Gen and Mrs Madhuri Choudhary to honour the officers and families of Mahar Regiment located in Jammu.
The Mahar Regiment is the first ever mixed infantry regiment of Indian Army wherein soldiers from all states, classes and clans form cohesive fighting units. The regiment has produced two Indian Army Chiefs and many high ranking senior officers.
Many retired officers of the regiment were present on the occasion. The General interacted with officers and ladies and emphasized the closer cooperation to look after the welfare of soldiers and families of Mahar Regiment not only during service but also after retirement.
