Kaith Biradari felicitates meritorious students

JAMMU, Aug 24:
Kaith Biradari organized a grand function at Domana today which was attended by a large number of its members hailing from different parts of the state as well as outside state.
On the occasion, President's Police Medal for Meritorious Services 2011 awarded to Dy SP ML Kaith recently, was hailed by all. Biradari described Kaith as bold, honest, full of discipline and high character.
Biradari also felicitated its students for their meritorious academic excellence and impressed the members that the children being its future hope, must be provided all opportunities to excel in academic and all other sports, professional and technical fields.
Speaking on the origin of the Kaith Biradari, RL Kaith said until 1421 A.D. 'Kaith Sect' had not come into existence but thereafter when a group of members separated from the Katoch sect of Kainthgali in Udhampur, they constituted 'Kaith Sect' and soon migrated to various other places across and outside the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Kaith further said that members of the Kaith Sect even after their separation, continued to worship their ancestral spirit: Sankri Devta.
Also speaking, Dr Ramesh Kumar Kaith said though the Kaith Biradari members got scattered and started inhabiting in various States, yet today there is a huge attraction in between them and their hearts beat for each other. He said member to member' interaction in such like functions would forge unity among them.
Earlier, all Biradari members paid their obeisance to Sankri Devta to get invoked his blessings for the welfare of their families and partook parshad from the langar.
