| Div com reviews progress on land acquisition for road, other projects | | |

JAMMU, Aug 24:
Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal today reviewed the progress on land acquisition and requisition cases for Border fencing, construction and upgradation of roads under project Sampark at a meeting attended by the civil administration functionaries and representatives from BSF, Army and other concerned agencies.
Threadbare discussion were held on issues pertaining to payment of rental/ compensation to the rightful owners in respect of land to be acquired for the Border fencing in Jammu, Samba, Kathua and other districts, status of progress of BRO roads, etc. Div Com exhorted upon the officers to work with zeal, synergy and dedication so that the pending cases of payment/rent under land acquisition for Border fencing, BRO roads would be settled at the earliest. The land acquisition cases for various roads under project SAMPARK were also reviewed by the Divisional Commissioner. He was apprised about the progress in acquisition of land for the construction/ Improvement of Samba-Riyan-Mawa-Regal road, Jakh-Khjipur-Khour-Nandpur-Narayanpur road, Khour-Ramnagar-Pakhuri road, NH-1A from Chhakhatriyan-Katal-Londi-Bobiya, Rajpura-Madwal-Phulpur road, Parol-Korepunnu-Parole-Rajpura road, NH-1A to AP Karote, Malla-Jugwan road, Akhnoor-Pallanwala road, Akhnoor-Jourian road, Agra Chauck- R.S. Pura-Dablehar-Rathana-Amla-Khour road and various other roads. Div Com enjoined upon the officers to gear up the process of land requisitioned under various road projects of national highway and BRO under their respective jurisdiction so that no roads projects may suffer for delay in land acquisition.

L. Bhushan, IG BSF Mr. A. K. Jain, A K Kalia, LT Col M Ravi Kumar, SAMPARK, A. K. Singh SoZ HQ SPK and other concerned officers.
