| National art festival organized at Kala Kendra | | |
JAMMU | DEC 1 To bring the artists of J & K at par with their counterparts in other states of India and rest of the world, Lalit Kala Akadmi New Delhi in collaboration with J&K Academy for Art Culture and Languages organized a National Art Festival, in which around 45 artists from across the country, including 15 from with in the state are participating. On this occasion an exhibition of paintings, photography and sculptures has also been organized in the fond memory of VR Khakuria. The camp was inaugurated by governor of the state, Lt. General SK Sinha, who was also the chief guest on the occasion. Whereas Commissioner Technical Education, Angu Rana was the guest of honor and Suman Gupta from Jammu and Shikha Mohit form Srinagar were the executive members from Lalit Kala Akademi. While speaking on this occasion chief guest congratulated the organizers for organizing such programs to groom the talent of state artists by giving them access to the artistry skills pursued outside the state. We will leave no stone unturned to nourish and nurture talent in our artists and to prove our talent at international platform, said Dr. Rafeeq Mausoodi, Secretary Cultural Academy.
