Jammu continues to back Anna in his fight?

JAMMU, Aug 24: The war against corruption continued today with the winter capital city witnessing protests and dharnas which conveyed the message that the fight against corruption has become the watchword of every citizen.
In a show of solidarity with the crusade of Anna Hazare and his team which has mobilized the entire nation including the Indians living abroad in America, England and Australia, the Jammu Province Peoples Front (JPPF) staged a dharna in front of Governor’s House to express its solidarity with the 74 year old Gandhian- Anna Hazare, whose peaceful protest hunger strike entered 9th day today.
JPPF members while praying for Anna’s health and long life warned the Govt. of unprecedented Jan Andolan in ease the desired bill is not enacted immediately keeping in view the deteriorating health of the Gandhian.
While chanting Slogans of Anna Age Badho Hum Tumhare Saath Hain”, Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vandey Mataram, Inqlab Zindabad, Hindu Muslim Sikh Isaai Anna Ke Hain Chaar Sipahi, the constituent members of JPPF participating in the dharna took oath to eradicate corruption and corrupt with harsh punishments to curb the menace.
The participating members included Chairman of JPPF, Pavittar Singh Bhardwaj, Inderjeet Khajuria President All Hotels and Lodges Association, Th. Narayan Singh President Amar Kashatriya Rajput Sabha, Rajiv Mahajan (State President Shri Ram Sena) (J&K), Prof. Devender Sharma ex-President All India Brahmin Federation, Dr. Ram Paul Sharma President Dogra Liberation Front, S. Balwinder Singh Bhatia President Rashtrawadi Morcha, Dev Raj Baru ex-President Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha, Prof Virender Gupta President JSM, Anan Sharma President Tanker Owners Association, Subash Jandial President Jandial Mahajan Biradari and others.
Chairman of JPPF while speaking on the occasion appealed one and all to join the Anna’s movements against corruption which has evoked tremendous response with the people across the country including people of Jammu province. He warned the Govt. to feel the pinch of Jan Andolan and bring the Jan Lok Pal Bill with amendments as demanded by Anna’s team with in the speculated time to began with eradication of corruption which has crossed all limits.
Inderjeet Khajuria advised the Govt to associate the Anna’s team selfless efforts & cooperate in bringing strong Lok Pal Bill said of “Abhi Nahin to Kabhi Nahin”. The people lost faith in Government and it must insure a corruption free governance if it wants to survive.
Narayan Singh warned of a greatest revolution if Anna’s team’s suggestions are not incorporated in the Lokpal bill.
The writers and artists of Jammu region have also supported the anti-corrption movement of Anna Hazare and his team.
They appreciated the leading role of Anna Hazare, who galvanized whole nation in general and youngsters in particular to get rid of corruption through proposed “Jan Lokpal Bill” and who awaken the consciousness among the people and its heartening that whole world has taken note of non-violence being used as an instrument to fight against the system.
Among others who participated and expressed solidarity with the movements included Dr Aganishekhar, Ashok Kumar, Ramesh Mehta, Yash Sharma, Yogita Yadav, Kapil Anirudh,Khyama Koul, Shiekh Mohammad Kalyan, Shayam Bihari, Aadarsh Ajit, Usha Kiran’ Kiran’, Lalit Gupta, Ashok Kumar, Sanjana Koul, Surinder Kour Neer, Baljit Raina, Sanjeev Bhasin, Maharaj Krishan Santoshi.
Meanwhile, the students of Govt. Sri Ranbir Higher Secondary School boycotted their classes under the banner of NPSU and held massive protest demonstration against the congress led central government on the issue of corruption. The protest was led by Sahil Sharma (NPSU President Ranbir School) and while addressing the gathering he said that the nation was suffering the menace of corruption for several decades but now time is demanding something from youth for the nation to uproot the roots of the corruption from our country and we, the youth of Jammu, are ready for any type of sacrifice for this issue.
