| VOJ presents Challan against JE RDD in trap case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, August-25:- Vigilance Organization Jammu today presented challan in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu against Asif Ali then posted Junior Engineer, RDD Block Lohai Malhar, Tehsil Billawar District Kathua who was caught red-handed while accepting bribe money from the complainant.
According to the challan, on a written complaint lodged by Mohammad Ayub a contractor allegeing that he has executed the work of construction of CIC building at Malhar, he has also purchased grills, doors and other material which were used during the execution of the said work. The Vouchers of these materials was submitted to JE RDD Asif Ali for passing/ verifying the same. The complainant approached several time to the JE for making remaining payment of executed work but he demanded Rs 8000/ as illegal gratification. On this complaint VOJ registered a case and constituted a trap team and laid a trap and caught red-handed while accepting Rs 2000/- from the complainant and today after completion of investigation presented Challan in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu against accused JE.
