Administration prohibits sale and consumption of liquor during Sankri Mela

UDHAMPUR, August 25: To maintain the sanctity of pious three days long Sankari Devta Mela commencing from September 26 in Panhari area of Udhampur ,the district administration has banned sale and consumption of liquor near the Mela site for three days from 26th to 28 September.

According to reports the District Magistrate, Udhampur, Baseer Ahmed Khan has issued prohibitory orders by declaring dry days for three days from the date of start of the mela. Meanwhile the administration has already made all the necessary arrangements to facilitate the visiting devotees and the staff has been warned to perform duties properly.
