Gramin bank organizes credit bank

KATHUA, Aug 26: Jammu and Kashmir Gramin Bank (JKGB) Kathua today organized a credit camp at Barwal Village in Kathua district.
JKGB, Barwal branch is operational since 1976 and has garnered a deposit of Rs. 15.51 crore, with an outstanding advance of Rs. 2.37 crore garnering a profit of Rs. 16 lakh. During the camp, Madan Jasrotia informed them of the various schemes of banks and asked them to come forward to avail benefit of the schemes.
He informed them that there were more than 70 different schemes where bank can give them loans and they should en-cash this opportunity. Area Manager, Kathua S.L.Sharma, indicated that deposit base of Rs. 15.51 crore, is a huge base against which outstanding was only Rs. 2.37 crore. Prabhat Kinara, Regional Head, Bajaj Allianz expressed his happiness in association with Jammu and Kashmir Gramin Bank and informed them that more than 40,000 lives have been insured till date.
DDM, NABARD Aman Kalsotra informed about Dairy Entrepreneur Development Scheme (DEDS) and recently launched venture capital scheme under poultry sector. He explained various components under the scheme for which subsidy will available from NABARD. Kalsotra appreciated the effort of the bank in organizing credit mela. He asked the villagers to develop entrepreneurial ability and avail loans for improving their living standards.
During the credit mela, 41 cases were sanctioned and disbursed, involving a credit of ` 50.70 lakh. Of the above 41 cases, 15 cases sanctioned pertained to DEDS of which 5 were sanctioned to women entrepreneur. The mela was widely appreciated by the villagers and they expressed happiness over conduct of this programme.
The credit camp was attended by DDM, NABARD Aman Kalsotra,, R.K.Kalsotra, Lead Bank Officer, Kathua, S L Sharma, Area Manager, Gramin Bank, R. P.Sharma, Senior Manager, Microfinance financial Inclusion, Jammu, Shri Prabhat Kinra, Regional Manager, Bajaj Allianze, Shri Madan Jasrotia, Branch Manager, Barwal, Sarpanch and villagers of Barwal village
