JCC appeals employees to observe three day strike from Sept 6 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 25: Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of state government employees has appealed the employees across the state to observe three days state-wide strike from September 6 to 8, 2011. In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that this decision was taken during a day long session of J&K government employees Joint Action Committee led by Ram Kumar Sharma, Abdul Qayoom Wani and Khursheed Alam. The session was attended by various employees, teachers, workers organizations, federations, unions and associations. The session took stock of the situations arising out of the candid arrogant, anti-employees and workers attitude of state government by not implementing agreement reached on February 19, 2009 and May 14, 2010 on agreed demands. They said that JCC is the only platform of J&K Employees who are fighting for six pay commission and other common demands of employees. House of JCC representatives after threadbare discussion constituted three members committee which included Amrik Singh, Babu Hussain Malik and Balwinder Singh. Committee authorized them to call all such elements in the meeting on August 28, 2011 at Jammu at Tourist Reception centre at 11:30 A.M to discuss all the issues of employees unity. JCC reiterated demand for early release of arrears of Sixth pay commission at par with central government employees, regularization of contractual, Adhoc, daily wagers of all departments who have completed seven years of their tenure, enhancement of age of retirement from 58 to 60 years removal of pay anomalies and Govt. should settle the grievances of public sector employees, Rehbar-e-Taleem, Anganwari Workers and regulation of promotion of different cadres.
