| Even ECONOMIST “No 1” can not free Indian people from the Daeyan ( she demon) of Mehngayee unless the Rule of Corrupt is demolished. To be brief Shri Rahul Gandhi has on 26th August suggested on the floor of Lok Sabha that the problem of corruption in India is so monstrous that it can not be demolished in a normal course and has even looked for a likely solution in a Constitutional body and not in a statutory body like Lok Pal bill . The speech was very brief and did not spell out (i) whether Congress leadership has got prepared any draft bill for such a body ( ii) how much time will be needed for installing such an Institution ( of the class of a constitutional body like Election Commission of India ) and (iii) how would UPA-II muster nearly a unanimous majority for the purpose. Some non UPA –II leaders looked the Rahul statement as a delaying tactic .
Anna has not demanded that “HIS” Jan Lok Pal bill be passed as it is, ANNA is demanding that the LOK PAL draft prepared by India Against Corruption be placed by the government ( with or with better amendments / teeth ) before the Parliament since the LOK PAL draft prepared by Government is much below the needs for dismantling the RULE of the CORRUPT.
Time is not far when the message would reach the poor rural Indian villages too that India is an Independent country and in Independent India the real Ruler has to be HE ( voter) and not a Patwari / Governemt official/ BDO / Collector / Police Officer / MLA / MP / Minister. Every Indian should remember the Mahatama Gandhi’s 9 August 1942 Angrejo Bharat Chodo ( quit India ) challenge , but this time it has not to be against any foreign power, the 2011 August Kranti has to be “ Quit the Corrupt Order” so that the leaders listens to agony of the common man / tax payer. For this the reins of the government machinery will have to be pulled by some extra ordinary institutional body since the enforcement / vigilance / administrative institutions have practically failed to finally punish the culprits. No doubt in a democracy Parliament is supreme. Those who advocate that people outside the legislature have no right to talk of what law should be made are simply trying to misguide the innocent people. The person elected to Lok Sabha is not the ultimate ruler but he is the representative of the Voter.
Government is People and servant is one who is paid wages from the Public exchequer. Even one who gets old age pension / unemployment allowance and a beggar pays indirect taxes when he buys goods and services. Corrupt government machinery eats into these taxes unfairly ( directly or indirectly).
Installation of the institution of LOK PAL may not give India a total corruption free governance. But surely LOK Pal institution can dismantle the Rule of the Corrupt. We must acknowledge under the circumstances that the August Kranti-II has to be carried to rescue the exploited Indian people majority of whom live in slums / villages and form the workable vote strength for the politicians Need has emerged for such demands / suggestions because in 2011 CORRUPTION in the Government / PUBLIC Institution has risen to unbearable mounts worth including the most honored levels of PM /CJ in the SCOPE of anti corruption bills like ( Jan) LOK Pal bill.
The questions that the Indian POLITICAL leadership as well as some “SOCIAL” workers questioning the path adopted by ANNA must ask their own self are ( i ) can they make the people to come out selflessly in so large numbers as has happened in favour off the “Jan” LOKPAL movement launched by India Against Corruption ( ii) do they not privately accept that all the pillars of democracy in India can to day be accused of mass corruption. In case they have otherwise answers then they have every right to oppose ANNA. Installation of institutions like Jan Lok Pal will be the beginning of a full-fledged WAR against the “MOTHER CORRUPTION. No doubt war has to continue for its effective delivery system, for administrative reforms, for judicial reforms , for police reforms , social reforms , electoral reforms , like .
The way people came out even in India Villages has been an adventure of unknown imagination for many photo journalists. The response to Amarnath Land Andolan of 2008 had surprised many. Overnight Jammu was made known to the world. It was not due to some political party agitating or a regular cadre based movement . The movement / andolan although it was based on Aastha of Hindu was even supported by all the muslims. Similarly the movement for installation of an effective Lok Pal ( like Jan Lok Pal ) institution though is not regular cadre based but since it’s spirit lies in truthful commitment to fight out the miseries of the common man of India as inflicted by the EXTREME corrupt practices prevailing in the institutions of governance, the people have come out against corruption on their own. No busses or cars or trucks or paid messengers have been sent by ANNA or his team to collect the “people ‘ .
But it is so unfortunate that the political master of the day are still not taking lessons. It appears that efforts are still being made to mis inform people. Attempts to frustrate , defame and weaken the ANNA team have not succeeded so far . Not only those in power seat , even some Social workers / NGOs appear feeling frustrated seeing the mass ANNA appeal. Even the social activists appear falling in the traps of politicians. Just a couple of days after Anna Hazare jee was taken into custody on 16th August 2011 people were told about a Lok Pal Bill draft submitted ( 21st Aug) by Aruna Roy. And a few days after another draft came in news by the name JP Draft. There is no harm in wide participation by people but the time and style of participation is what that need be taken notice. The question is where was Aruna Roy and her spokes person Anjali Jee before 16th August when the IAC Jan Lok Pal Bill was being deliberated at all India level, where were they when Anna sat on fast at Jantar Mantar. What problem they had for even discussing their draft with IAC team as social workers so that more pressure could be put on the government. My questions appear valid looking at the fact that some Government representatives who were not at all prepared to consider the Jan Lok Pal draft suggestions sympathetically , so enthusiastically are found making reference to Aruna Roy or JP Bill.
Another thing that has disturbed some people who believe in power games and exploitation of people in the name of religion / caste / region is that the people on roads are chanting slogans of BHARAT MATA KI JAI, BANDE MATRAM and Inqlab Jindabad during the Anna Hazare’s Jan Lok Pal agitation. Some constituents of UPA-II too appear disturned with this since they feel that such slogans would help parties like BJP. Indian National Congress should rather use such slogans more vociferously in their efforts to build a strong India. The 1947 religion based creation of Pakistan, did cause some apparent breach ( what ever fine it may be ) of trust between the Hindu and Musalman who had so unitedly fought against the British right since 1857. More unfortunately, the people who were given the reins of governance in Independent India for the sake of securing the vote of the innocent simple Bharatbasi instead did their best to make creeks of distrust grow into ravines. But it were the Bhartiyae traditions, Bhartiyae sanscriti and the age old social bindings that the vote merchants and their “ agents” did not fully succeed in their unholy ambitions / plans. The trust breachers have stooped so low that some of them have started raising questions alleging less participation by religious minorities and the SC / OBCs even in the teams organizing protests and movements against the corrupt governance.
The Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid ( Delhi) Syed Ahmed Bukhari has been quoted in media on 22nd Aug as having asked all Muslims to stay away from Anna's fast venue. In obvious reference to slogans of "Vande Mataram", "Bharat Mata Ki Jay" echoing in the Ramlila Maidan Imam has been quoted as having said "Islam does not condone the worship of the nation or land. It does not even condone worship of the mother who nurtures a child in her womb for nine months," “How can Muslims then join his stir with a war cry that is against the basic tenets of their religion?" It is so unfortunate that attempts have been made to paint India Against Corruption movement as Hindu movement. Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Delhi called upon all the muslims of India not to support the demands like a bill like Jan Lok Pal . And so strangely no leader of any so called secular party has questioned the “call” given by the Imam that can be seen as an attempt to divide Hindustanies into Hindu and Muslim. In case Imam did not approve joining war against corruption , atleast in the interest of the HINDU MUSLIM unity he should have remained mum. Main kahoon ga ki Hindustanion ko aaj oon se bhi ladna hai jo ANGREJ ki banto aur raj karo ki neetee ko apna dharam mantae hain. Yeh log BHARASTACHARION se bhi burae hain, doosari august kranti / “azadi ki ladayee Hindostanion ko aesae Hindu Muslim unity ke dushmanon se bhi ladnee hogee. Hindu and Muslamaan will have to raise obstacles in the way of those who are bent up on socially exploiting the Hindustani to divert his intentions away from the corrupt activities of the politicians and the administrators.
As per the last a few decades record of Indian parliament one could even suggest that in case the ruling party moves a motion in parliament saying that sun rises during night , the motion would be voted YES on the bases of the majority that the ruling party carries in case the opposition benches oppose the bill. rakhta. Hindu and Muslamaan will have to jointly “request” all the politicians and their mentors / supporters to stop caring for the common man as people from different religions and instead care them as Bharatbasi. Times are not far when the voter citizen of India will not sell his vote for meager favours or out of ignorance.
