| Government not to compromise national interests; Qarra | | | Srinagar, Dec 2 Minister for Planning and Finance, Mr. Tariq Ahameed Qarra has said that coalition government is strictly following the agenda of peace, progress and prosperity of the state adding that no compromise would be made on National interests. Nepotism, favoritism will not be tolerated and honour and dignity of the people will be restored, he said. Addressing a public meeting at Devsar Anantnag today, the Minister said the government would strive for restoring sense of respect and confidence among the people besides concrete measures have also been initiated for the development of Jammu and Kashmir. He said during the last four years situation has improved a lot in the state and new era of development has ushered in the state. He said the spectacular achievements registered by the coalition government have frustrated the opposition parties who have started nefarious propaganda against the government. Mr. Qarra said people are politically conscious and analyze the working of ruling parties. The Minister said that with the financial assistance of Rs. 16 crore by Asian Development Bank, the reconstruction of Anantnag-Devsar road has been taken up and it would be an unparalleled road in the area. He announced opening of a sub treasury office in Devsar on the spot while setting up of a Degree College, Primary Health Centre, Munsiff Court and establishing of a grid station would be taken up with the concerned Ministries. MLA Devsar Mr. Sartaj Madni also addressed the gathering. |
