Khoda visits Hazratbal, reviews security arrangements | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 26: Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda today visited Asar-i-Sharief Hazratbal and took stock of the arrangements made in connection with auspicious occasions of Jamat-ul-Vida, Shab-i-Qadr and Idd-ul-Fitr. He issued on-the-spot instructions to ensure foolproof security arrangements in and around the shrine to maintain the law and order. Later, Director General of Police held a meeting with the senior police officers at Hazratbal and reviewed the arrangements made for congregation at Hazratbal, Jamia Masjid, Idgah and other religious places in the Valley on the eve of these auspicious occasions. Khoda was told that elaborate arrangements have been made for peaceful prayers at these places besides necessary security and parking of vehicles and other arrangements so that the people may not face any inconvenience. He was also informed that sufficient deployment of personnel would be made during these occasions to maintain the law and order. He asked the officers to make traffic arrangements in such a way that devotees may not face and difficulty while reaching to these religious places. Among others, the Director General was accompanied by Inspectors General of Police, S. M. Sahai and H. K. Lohia, DIGs R. P. Manahas and A. G. Mir, SSP, Srinagar Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, S.P. Hazaratbal, Abdul Waheed Shah and SP Traffic Maqsood-ul-Zaman and other officers.
