1 Kg charas, 900 intoxicant capsules recovered.

RAJOURI, Aug 27:
Rajouri Police claimed to have recovered one kg of charas and at least 900 hundred intoxicant capsules from two separate locations in border district of Rajouri. Three persons have been arrested in this connection and two cases have been registered at two different police stations.

Giving details, Additional SP Rajouri, Mohammad Shabir said that during the intervening night of 25/26 of current month a naka was laid by police near Mandir Gala under the jurisdiction of police station Kandi in connection with the reported movement of militants in this area.

During the naka police party conducted search of every vehicle passing through the area, how ever, instead of militants, police recovered one kg charas from the possession of one Ahmed Din son of Mohammad Israil.

The said person was immediately taken in to custody and a case vide FIR no 68/2011 u/s 8/20 NDPS was registered with police station Kandi .

In the initial investigations, the accused is said to have revealed that the charas was smuggled from valley and it was further disposed to be at Rajouri.

For effecting recoveries of arms/ammunition on information provided to SSP Rajouri Vijay Sigh Sambyal by reliable sources but during frisking/searching 1 kg of charas was recovered from possession of Ahmed Khan son of Mohd Israil R/O Draj. The person was immediately taken into Police custody and charas has been seized.

In an other similar story, police said that it had laid a naka near Deaki Gali area under the jurisdiction of Police station Thanamandi during the same night in connection with the movement of militants in that particular area . In the similar fashion, police part led by Dy SP Operations Rajouri intercepted an Alto Car in which two persons were on way from Surankote to Rajouri. During the search and frisking of the said car police recovered 900 intoxicant capsules (Petmol-spas) from the vehicle. The police took both the persons and medicine in to custody and a case vide FIR NO 104/11 u/s 8/21 NDPS was registered with police station Thanamandi.

Both the arrested persons in this connection have been identified as Imraan Ahmed son of Mohammad Amin and Mukhtaar Ahmed son of Talib Hussain. Both are resident of village Hasplote in Thanmandi with 28 to 30 years age.

Sources said the cases were being investigated by under the close supervision of SSP Rajouri Vijay Singh Samyal who is personally very much concerned over the alarming drug menace in Rajouri district. Sources said that he has passed clear instructions to his subordinates that he would not tolerate even a little bit of drugs business running in the district. And any official found helping such accused will not be spared, he is reported to have said to his subordinate officers.
