| Sham hosts iftar party at Akhnoor | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 27: Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma, hosted an Iftaar Party on the auspicious occasion of Shab-i-Qadar which was among others attended by senior officers, political leaders besides large number of locals at Akhnoor.
Extending greetings to Muslim brethren, the Minister said that such religious occasions inspire us to follow the spiritual preaching of great saints and Sufis, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of humanity, to lead a peaceful and prosperous life. He appealed the people to optimally utilize such religious occasions to create a better society to live in.
Sham also highlighted significance of the day for Muslims observing fast and controlling all human instincts to please God Almighty and seek his forgiveness and blessings. He said that the day is for observing special prayers for peace and prosperity for entire humanity. Sham prayed for peace and prosperity of state and well being of the people. |
