| JKNPP holds Iftaar party | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Aug 27:
Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party organised an Iftaar Party here this evening at party headquarters, Rajbagh.
Iftaar Party was attended by several noted religious, social and political personalities from Kashmir Valley. Prof. Bhim Singh expressed great satisfaction that the solidarity of the composite culture of J&K, which represents different rather all schools of thought of different regions has grown stronger keeping the lights shining for the bright future of the country.
Among the eminent personalities who participated in Iftaar were Mohd Akbar Lone, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Mufti-e-Azam Kashmir, Mufti Bashiruddin and others.
Panthers Party Chief Prof Bhim Singh has been holding Iftaar Party for the past 10 years in Srinagar. The erstwhile Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh used to hold Iftaar dinner during the Holy month of Ramzan and the last Iftaar Party held by him was in 1947. There was no Iftaar Party held by any social or political activist from Jammu till 1996 when Prof Bhim Singh reviewed the tradition of the composite culture of J&K. |
