| Gynecological Oncology workshop concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 27: Two day long Gynecological Oncology CME cum surgeries undertaken by Government Hospital Sarwal Jammu and operative workshop organized by Association of Gynecological Oncologists of India (Jammu Chapter) concluded today.
Renowned doctors performed surgeries in three institutions namely – Dept of Obstetrics and Gynecology Government Medical College, ASCOMS Hospital and Government Hospital Sarwal.
The CME gave opportunity to local gynecologists to interact with renowned oncologists, Oncosurgeons of India. They also got exposure to gynecological oncology surgeries and got updated on latest aspects of Gynecological cancers.
Dr Veena Jain working at Medicity Ludhiana, who is also the present president of Association of Gynecological Oncologists of India, operated today at Government Hospital Sarwal where case of Cancer Ovaries and other cases were operated upon.
Dr Anil Mehta Senior Gynaecologist assisted in the surgery.
Other gynaecologists who were present in the theater were Dr Kamini Gupta, Dr Sham Gupta, Dr Shafiqua, Dr Anshu Charak, Dr Sapna, Dr Belu Sharma.
Anesthetists during surgery were Dr Kamal Gandotra and Dr Shelly Mahajan.
Other staff who assisted and contributed in successful performance of the operation were Rajesh Sharma and Rajinder Sharma both Theater Technicians, Staff Nurse Sunita and class Iv employee Uttam.
Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr Arun Sharma congratulated the team of Doctors for performance of this procedure.
