Jodhamal school wins JSSC inter school competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 27: In keeping with its tradition of wholesome development of the child, Jodhamal School conducted an inter school character enactment competition today in its premises. 16 leading CBSE Sahodaya cluster schools of Jammu took part in the competition. The programme was presided over by the chief guest KCS Mehta who is president of “Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex”. The judges were Sarla Kohli, Navin Chopra, Sumeet Sharma. The competition show cased acting abilities of the students. With in-depth characterization of various literary figures like lady Macbeth, Juliet or Mark Antony, the performers enthralled the audience. Marvellous portrayals of figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Anna Hazara, Subash Chander Bose, Napoleon and Hitler were also done as were the mythological figures such as Draupadi, Hanuman Ji and Lord Krishna. One could feel the energy and passion of each contestant shimmer through the open air theatre. The effort of the participants was obvious in their detailed costumes, stylish gowns and make-up. Schools that participated were SOS Herman, Presentation, MHAC Nagbani, K.C. Public, Heritage, J.K. Public, DPS Jammu, BSF Palora, Army Schools Akhnoor, B.D. Bari, Domana, Nagrota, Air Force School and Jodhamal Public School. The Chief Guest, KCS Mehta in his speech applauded JMPS Principal, staff and students for their initiative and encouraged the students for discovering their talents. He spoke about the performing arts being the pivotal education on which the personality of a student could be shaped. Krishna Bhati, principal Jodhamal School appreciated the participating schools. Jodhamal school won the overall Trophy in the junior category and Presentation Convent won the overall trophy in the senior category.
