| Teacher among 2 killed, 8 hurt in road accidents | | | JAMMU: Two persons, including a government school teacher, were killed and eight others wounded in separate road mishaps here since last evening.
The motorcycle (JK06/3335) of Chandersheel, a government higher secondary school teacher, met with an accident at Goli Bagh in Doda at about 8.15 am today as a result of which he sustained critical injuries.
He was admitted to the Doda district hospital where he later died. He hailed from Dadyain Mohalla, Doda.
A bus (JK02R/0443) hit Gulshan Singh (18) of Balohote, Ramban, at Ramban bus stand Friday evening. He died on way to GMC hospital here.
The bus was being driven by Mohammad Iqbal, son of Abdul Hamid of Dharamsal in Mendhar, Poonch. A case was registered against him at Ramban police station.
Those injured in other road accidents included Babli, wife of Subash Chander of Salal, Reasi, Davinder Singh, son of Ishar Singh of Naleh, Udhampur, Sharad Magotra of Roop Nagar, Prem Chand of Chatha, Pushpa Devi of Janipura, Kehar Singh of Karan Bagh, Gadi Garh, Rajesh Sharma of Galbadein and Arun Saini of Arnia.
All of them were admitted to the GMC hospital. |
