3 Rajouri families tried to infiltrate from Nowshera sector migrated to POK in 70’s, army pushed them back

RAJOURI, Aug 27: At least three families comprising about ten members including men women and children tried to infiltrate to this side from Nowshera sector on Saturday. However, army didn't allow them and forced them to return back to POK.
Giving details, sources said that a group of about ten people including women and children crossed fence along LOC in Nowshera sector on Saturday early morning and reached in Indian territory. As army spotted the unusual movement in their area, the army stopped this group of people and asked them about their whereabouts. On being questioned, the people narrated the whole story saying that they have come from POK and want to go their home district Rajouri from where they had migrated in early seventies. Sources said, the junior officials alerted their seniors about the development soon after they stopped them.
In the day long deliberations, sources said army decided not to allow them in the territory, but the families were still reluctant to go back. When contacted SSP Rajouri Vijay
Singh Samyal said that he had received such report from Nowshera area but the matter was still with army and no person was handed over to Police as yet. However, sources said that all the families were still near fence and were insisting to allow them to this side, but army was also reluctant to allow them. Till last reports came in, the negotiations were on between army and infiltrating families.
