Lady medico, 2 others booked for causing woman's death due to wrong transfusion | | | EARLT TIMES Report JAMMU, Aug 27: A lady doctor, a staff nurse and a technician have been found guilty of giving wrong transfusion to a pregnant woman at Kathua district hospital in June this year, ultimately leading to her death. Radhima (24), wife of Kishore Kumar of Chak Dessa Singh, Kathua, was admitted to the Kathua district hospital on June 22 this year for delivery. She died soon after she was given transfusion. It was alleged that she died because her blood group was not matched by the doctors with that of the donor and the blood groups of both of them were different. A board was then constituted to look into the matter. Police sources said during probe, the board found the allegations to be true. Based on the baord's findings, police Friday registered a case against Dr Pushpa Raina, staff nurse Gurbaksh Kour and technician Swaran Kumar under section 304 A of RPC. |
